ROW HOUSES

TRINITY ACRES ON SARJAPUR ROAD

Client: Suraj Condominiums. Project details: 2,60,000 sft,  176 units of 1,2 and 3 bed configurations.

In the late nineties, when this project came to life, 1bhk units were not popular but the client took a gamble. That paid off, as the one-bedroom pads became hugely popular with the software bachelors. Also, row houses were not common in Bangalore, but we adopted this housing concept to achieve maximum possible FAR since the site was narrow. It was featured in the May 1997 issue of National Geographic to depict the changing ways of living in India as it turns 50.

This complex was conceived as a low-rise, row housing project. It is punctuated with central, open courts and alternating open terraces to allow the flow of air and play of natural sunlight throughout. The white walls juxtaposed against green patches at the ground level and on the terraced gardens break the monotony.
